The Board of Directors of the Wolverine Youth Football Association is pleased to announce the formation of a joint partnership with the Derry Demons.

Both organizations agree that the greater Derry communities can be better served by providing non-overlapping and aligned football and cheer programs serving the greater Derry youth athletes from Kindergarten to grade 8.

The two organizations can now work cooperatively on an educational and developmental structure for youth football and cheer that includes, but is not limited to basic required skills, teaching methodologies, coaches education and certification(s) and other minimum basic requirements to ensure proper and positive progression of our youth athletes beginning with the Demons and stepping to the Wolverines, and ultimately to the Pinkerton Astros.

The organizations will look at operational redundancy and look for opportunities to integrate certain activities while protecting and preserving the respective by-laws and governance structures.

As always, both organizations will continue its respective efforts to stress and provide social development and academic excellence.

Both organizations realize the challenges ahead, but are committed to achieving the end result we believe is right for our athletes. As always, we welcome any comments and suggestions from our memberships.

Thank you for your support,
